We love to travel. Lisa considers traveling her favorite hobby even though it isn't something she can do as often as many people participate in their hobbies. The idea of traveling and experiencing something new is so exciting. . .

- Standing in awe of beautiful landscapes and nature
- Eating food (especially sweets) that we don't normally get to eat
- Drinking new and different beer (this is something Jonathan enjoys)
- Riding trains and getting a chance to relax and read

- Realizing how much we have

Where did you meet?
We met at church, when Jonathan�s best friend introduced him to his girlfriend (Lisa). A couple of weeks later and their fling was done. 3.5 years later we were married.
Who does what?
Jonathan creates and revises most of the resources, and he works the social media graphics and most of the posts. Lisa is the connectedness guru, meeting and greeting folks from all over the InterWorld and having all kinds of geeky online funzies. Lisa also helps organize the to-do list for us. We both blog.
What do enjoy most about your partnership?
*Blushes* No really, *Blushes again*
Jonathan loves how naturally Lisa connects with people all over the nation. She has such a friendly demeanor and likeability. I love that people sense that about her as much as I do.
Lisa is constantly amazed at what Jonathan can accomplish in such a seemingly short amount of time. He sets goals and gets stuff done. He also has great vision for how to make things on paper look good and he has taught himself how to use Photoshop so he can make his visions a reality. Oh, and he is the king of grammar . . . if I was on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" and there was a grammar question, he'd be my phone a friend, for sure. Oh man! He'd be in the audience . . . nevermind.

Do you have nicknames for each other?
We don�t really have nicknames for each other. If anything, Lisa calls Jonathan �Babe.� Jonathan calls Lisa �Lisa,� but occasionally �Sweetie.�
For her pretend sporting event theme song . . . the songs coming to mind are "Lose Yourself" (clean version) by Eminem or "Particle Man" by They Might Be Giants . . . Ok, final decision is "Take My Life" by Jeremy Camp.
What is your teaching theme song? (Either what song inspires your teaching or, totally pretend, what song would play when you're introduced, like at a sporting event?)
Lisa�s song that most inspired her teaching is �Family Portrait� by Pink. This may seem like it doesn�t connect but it was always a reminder to Lisa that she didn�t know what each of her students experienced away from her classroom. The six hours with her each school day could be the most stable and loving environment that a student had in their life. Jonathan�s is �Beautiful Day� by U2 or �Smells Like Teen Spirit� by Nirvana. �Beautiful Day� because I love the message of making sure to pay attention to the art and beauty in life all around us if we pull ourselves out of the hamster wheel and stop running for a moment. �Smells Like Teen Spirit� because it would like totally get my adrenaline pumping to run into the arena to the intro of the song or the chorus because it�s �stupid and contagious�!!!
Jonathan would go watch a fun comedy play, maybe A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, which happens to be the funniest play I've ever seen.
If you could dress-up to go somewhere, what would you wear and where would you go?
Lisa would dress-up in a fun, right-above-the-knee-length dress and a pair of cowgirl boots. Going out dancing would be fun.Jonathan would go watch a fun comedy play, maybe A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, which happens to be the funniest play I've ever seen.

Name something you've created that you love using in your classroom.
Lisa loved introducing students to multiplication by using the game "Circles and Stars" from Marilyn Burns in her book "Math by all Means - Multiplication". Lisa wouldn't tell the students they were going to be learning multiplication. She just said they were going to play a game and when the game got boring and students wanted to show her how easy the game was (proving they were doing the steps correctly), she would tell them a secret about the game. The look on some kids' faces when they realized they were doing multiplication and they proved it was easy, was priceless! They would get sooooooo excited, especially kids that had heard of multiplication from their older siblings. To reinforce the students' understanding, Lisa made Circles and Stars practice pages.
